What Do Children Think Of The Emu?
Emerald Estates (Emu) is still in awe of this fabulous bird. We truly enjoy raising the birds which includes hatching the eggs we gather at breeding season. The small chicks are very inquisitive and a lot of fun to watch.
EEE is happy of offer tours to the area school children, scouts or whomever would like to see the birds and learn more about them and the wonderful by-products made with the oil rendered from the Emu.
For your enjoyment, we have copied some of the notes received from the younger children that participated in some of the tours. The young ones are eager to learn and are fascinated by the 'big' birds while they truly enjoy watching the 'baby' birds. We hope you enjoy!

"Dear Tom, Thanks for letting us go to your Emu farm. It was svery interesting. I learned that they lay blue eggs & have two feathers on one quill. As an opinion I kind of think they are kind of ugly. But thats just an opinion. I liked the new born Emu the best. And Adam & Eve were OK. Bye.
