**Australian Aborigines have used EMU oil for medicinal and cosmetic purposes for centuries. The oil served as a burn treatment and liniment; a remedy for skin aliments; an arthritis treatment; a skin moisturizer; and as a skin protect and sunscreen. It wasn't until the late 1980's that the oil began being researched and documented in a scientific setting. Now there's documented data, which supports many of the original claims associated with the oil.
